Happy New Year!

Wow! Was this past year kind of nuts, or what?

One thing I can say about this year is that we can get through tough times. Hopefully everyone took advantage of this year to learn. We were all given a tremendous opportunity to learn. Whether it be how to garden, how to knit, how to use zoom, and about a million other possibilities. But above all, I hope everyone took some time to learn about themselves.

I definitely learned a lot this year about both my business and myself. The lockdown beginning in April (here in Missouri), was especially difficult because I really like being a recluse and not communicating with the outside world. Prior to the lockdown, I made myself get out and socialize once in a while so that I wouldn’t close myself off. So then I get my dream situation handed to me. Well it really wasn’t the dream situation it appeared, because I also hid from digital social times as well. Watching my face on a screen has always been such a struggle for me, as well as speaking to others. I just never felt like I spoke well enough. So I watched and I learned, I tried and failed, and tried things again. This year in 2021, one of my goals is to not be afraid of being on video or in front of the camera. My promise to you is to be more accessible this year across multiple platforms. I will probably start with short instagram stories, that way if they’re too embarrassing they will be gone in 24 hours anyway. haha

One of the other new things that happened in 2020 is that we officially opened our store front here at the farm. As we expected, it has been a slow start. We are truly in the middle of nowhere and about 1.5 hours from almost every part of the St. Louis suburban area. If you are looking for something to do in the area besides visiting us, please reach out, as there are a ton of things to do out here. We are close to wine country, only about 30 minutes from Hermann. There are lots of beautiful twisty country roads for motorcycles and cars. There are adorable small towns near by with cute shops and restaurants that could really use your business (checkout Rosebud, MO). If you’re looking for a great place to get lunch on the way to or from the store, checkout Bistro at the Mill in Gerald, MO. Lovely staff and owners, as well as great food. So do you still have a reason not to make the visit? Being that we are so far out, we don’t have a lot of crowds. I also live 1/4 mile from the store, so if you’re wanting to some out and it’s after we close, call or message us. Store phone: 573-764-5224.

New for 2021

There will be an email newsletter sent out tonight or tomorrow showing all the inspiration photos for the Outlander and Harry Potter inspired Yarn Clubs. Check out the clubs here. We will be introducing quarterly boxes inspired by my favorite books and book series. These boxes will NOT be repeated. If you miss out on the box, you miss out on the yarn. There will be 6 colors offered in the box, a pattern, and goodies related to the inspired fandom (imagine things like tea, candles, mugs, stickers, stitch markers, honey, enamel pins, etc…). I haven’t done anything like this before and it will arrive in a themed box. As always, everything will be packaged with great care. I hope you love and look forward to these special boxes as I have. Link and pricing will be available in the newsletter going out later.

Sign up for the Newsletter at the bottom of the blog.

We will also begin doing regular Zoom social hours each week to socialize and I’ll be able to share different things with you as well. If you ever want to set up virtual shopping or get one on one help putting colors together, please reach out. We are always happy to assist you in any way we can.

I hope you all have a blessed and wonderful 2021!!
