This is all my spinning works that are finished and/or have been sold. This will include photos of all parts of the spinning processes.
This was my very first yarn that I spun. It is also the very first yarn that I dyed and the very first yarn that I dyed with natural dye that I harvested. This is a super-bulky 2-ply Corriedale yarn that I died with Goldenrod. It's something most consider a weed that blooms in the fall. It is also great for bees. This yarn would be great for making a small squishy rug or a cowl. I haven't used it yet as I'm hoping the perfect buyer will see it and fall in love with it.
This is another of my early hand spun and hand dyed yarns. This is a single ply that has a bit of "overspin" in it. That is what causes the curls and extra twists. This yarn was also dyed with kool-aid and is spun from rolags, rolags are rolls of fiber made from using hand cards (brushes, for lack of a better description). This yarn will self stripe as you knit. It's a gorgeous yarn with a lot of fun texture.
This was a Merino/Silk blend that was plyed with a sequin thread. It was one of the first consistent yarns I had spun. This yarn was dyed with kool-aid. The only "problem" with this yarn was when I was doing the final wash to get the dye out, I felted it too much. it actually became a cool texture and I used it to make a poncho for my niece.
