“Fiber “U” is all about promoting Fiber Arts education in the Midwest and providing the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skill in working with fiber. There is a wide assortment of classes available for both the beginners and the experienced artisans alike. You can take up to SIX classes for a flat registration fee (plus any additional material fee), but you must pre-register as classes are limited in size and are filled on a first come basis. Class and registration will open mid March each year, so please check back “
I have teamed up with Kate Whiting and Kim Simpson to bring you an incredible KAL/CAL inspired by the hit show "Game of Thrones". Kate and Kim have designed their patterns with Honey Girl Farms yarns in mind; and I have designed an entire line of Game of Thrones inspired colorways. So grab the yarn inspired by your favorite character (if you can pick one) and head over to facebook to join the group. In the group you will find links to the individual patterns, as well as any help you might need from the designers themselves.
The facebook group for the KAL/CAL can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1191304027666698/
This is a one-day FREE family-friendly handmade event featuring 75 local makers, artists, and designers. Also, food trucks, interactive artist demos and DIY's, a maker village, free swag bags, and a Craft Yeti!
Come visit me at my booth at this Happy Little Craft Show and see the exclusive yarn made for this event! This event shows to be a lot of fun and there are so many awesome artists and crafters that will be there. If you are anywhere in the area, please stop by and visit, even if it's just to say hi.
I'll be at the Big Ohio Sheep Sale to get some pointers on showing my lambs this year. Being someone who has never done that before, I'm really excited to see how I do this year. There will be lots and lots of sheep there and I plan to do a blog post about the event. If you are going, I'll be hanging out with the Corriedale folks.
Heading to the Spring Planting Festival at Baker Creek. This is one of the best and largest heirloom seed companies out there, their selection is amazing. Also if you are anywhere near Springfield, MO you should check this place out.
