And I’m off…
The morning was frantic as I chaotically scramble to get all the last minute items finished and loaded to head out. I got out a bit later than I had wanted, ran into a few big traffic jams, but I made it to Overland Park, KS and The Studio Knitting and Needlepoint.
The first night of the trunk show was a great success. I got to meet a lot of great knitters. One had worn a sweater that she had made from yarn she had bought from The Village Yarnery in Springfield, MO. Seeing finished objects is one of my favorite reasons to travel around and do shows. After the trunk show, I met up with a bunch of the ladies for dinner.
As far as the old motorhome goes, it drove well and survived the short trip to Kansas City very well. I was so exhausted yesterday that after dinner I just crashed. I was able to just park behind the store to sleep and woke up to a nice crisp morning in the 40’s. The temp is supposed to drop today and get down in the 30’s, so I’ll definitely need the heater on tonight.
I’ll get photos of the trunk show to share on the next blog, I forgot to ask for the pictures last night.
I look forward to the upcoming days. So far its been a fun trip. I’m just hoping I have plenty of yarn left for Denver.
If you all have any yarn shops that I need to visit on my way, please share!
